Hello World! I'm Mike. This substack is where I will share the highs and lows of running my small business, Green Shoe Garage.
We are a one-stop product design, engineering, and fabrication workshop. We take great pride in blending old-school traditional craftsmanship with modern digital tools (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC mills, etc.) and the maker ethos. We call our creative philosophy iDEAS—the intersection of industrial design, engineering, arts, and sciences. We build it all, from mechanical and structural components to electronics hardware (including circuit boards and embedded firmware) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) software.
We pride ourselves in being able to support our clients throughout the entire development lifecycle, including conceptual design, detailed engineering, rapid prototyping, fabrication, laboratory & real-world testing, and low-volume manufacturing.
