Hello World! I'm Mike. This substack is where I will share the highs and lows of running my small business, Green Shoe Garage.
We are a one-stop product design, engineering, and fabrication workshop. We take great pride in blending old-school traditional craftsmanship with modern digital tools (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC mills, etc.) and the maker ethos. It’s a concept we call tradigital craftsmanship (traditional+digital). We build it all, from mechanical and structural components to electronics hardware (including circuit boards and embedded firmware) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) software.
We pride ourselves in being able to support our clients throughout the entire development lifecycle, including conceptual design, detailed engineering, rapid prototyping, fabrication, laboratory & real-world testing, and low-volume manufacturing.
In short, we turn our client’s ideas into tangible, functional objects.
